Sacred Valley Machu Picchu Tour – Sacred Valley Connection Machu Picchu

We begin our adventure at 6:00 a.m. with hotel pickup in Cusco, setting off toward the heart of the Sacred Valley.

Our first stop is Chinchero, a traditional Andean village famous for its colorful artisan market, colonial church built upon Inca foundations, and impressive agricultural terraces. Here, you’ll experience a blend of living culture and ancient history.

Next, we visit Moray, a remarkable complex of circular terraces believed to have been used by the Incas as an agricultural laboratory to experiment with different microclimates. We then continue to Maras Salt Mines, where more than 3,000 salt pools cascade down the mountainside — a breathtaking landscape that has been in use since pre-Inca times.

After enjoying a delicious buffet lunch in Urubamba, we explore the majestic Ollantaytambo, an extraordinary example of Inca urban planning and architecture that still preserves its original layout and massive stone terraces.

In the afternoon, we board the train to Aguas Calientes, the gateway to Machu Picchu. Upon arrival, we check into our hotel and enjoy a restful evening, preparing for the unforgettable experience that awaits the next day.

We will begin at 6:00 a.m. with our ascent to the majestic Machu Picchu, entering the sanctuary in the early morning light when the landscape is at its most magical.

For those seeking adventure, we will hike up Huayna Picchu, a steep but rewarding climb that offers breathtaking panoramic views of the citadel and the surrounding valleys. From the summit, you’ll gain a unique perspective of Machu Picchu nestled between dramatic Andean peaks.

After descending, we will return to Aguas Calientes for lunch (not included). Later, we will visit the Machu Picchu Butterfly House, a conservation center dedicated to protecting native butterfly species and educating visitors about local biodiversity.

You will then have free time to explore the town at your own pace — browse local markets, relax at a café, or simply enjoy the atmosphere — before returning to the hotel to rest after a memorable day of exploration.

After breakfast, we will take the bus back up to the majestic Machu Picchu for a comprehensive two-hour guided tour. Accompanied by an expert guide, we will explore its sacred temples, impressive agricultural terraces, and ceremonial structures while learning about the architectural mastery and historical significance of the Inca civilization.

Following the guided visit, we will descend to Aguas Calientes, where you will have free time to relax and enjoy the town at your own pace. You may choose to visit the local thermal baths, stroll through the artisan market, or enjoy lunch at a local restaurant (not included).

In the afternoon, we will board the train to Ollantaytambo, where our transportation will be waiting to transfer us back to Cusco. We expect to arrive at approximately 22:00 hrs, concluding an unforgettable journey through the heart of the Andes.
